Love your lawyer
We love the law…
and here’s why our clients love us. First, we’re passionate about their rights. Second, we don’t base our relationships on billable hours. We’re fair and up-front. Third, we understand the importance of close communication. When clients face a legal issue, they want an attorney they can call at any time. That’s us.
We even give each client a Private Portal online, where they can check the status of their case 24/7.
Right away, we want you to feel welcome and at ease. We’re not at all intimidating—unless it’s in court or the other side of a negotiating table. Then we’re fierce about protecting your interests.
Your legal representation is one of the most meaningful relationships you can have. Shouldn’t you Love Your Lawyer?
The mission of Carabotta | Steakley is
to be a force for positive change
in the practice of the law,
dedicated to integrity, transparency, swift, incisive representation, and one-hundred-percent client satisfaction.
Why We’re Different
We’re fair about fees.
Some firms live or die by billable hours. We don’t. We pride ourselves on providing our clients exceptional “big firm” results for a reasonable “small firm” price.
We’re flexible. Your fee arrangement will depend on the amount of help you need—and we’ll review it with you periodically to make sure it’s a fair assessment of the work required.
That’s another reason why you’ll love your lawyer: You’ll have a clear understanding of the value we deliver on your behalf.
The billing models we offer for specific types of litigation include, but are not limited to:
Retainers
You may prefer a fixed monthly fee that covers all the work we do for you, or a retainer for specific aspects of the assignment, including litigation. A fixed retainer helps you budget. Since there are usually times of high or low activity, a fixed retainer helps even out the differences. Rest assured: we’ll review the retainer with you regularly to make sure it reflects the amount of work done.
Contingent Fee Agreements
With this arrangement, we take no money from you until we win. We’ll earn a fixed percentage of the amount we recover for you. The percentage will depend on a number of factors, including the amount you stand to win and strength of your case.
Reasonable Hourly Rates
We base our hourly rates on the type of work you need. You’ll find them competitive with other law firms of our size and experience. The key word here is reasonable: We want you to be able to afford the expert help you need.
Portfolio Fees
Should you give us all your legal work, we can arrive at a fixed monthly fee that will cover it. A portfolio fee arrangement gives you a predictable budget for our services, and you’ll know it up front.
Creative Flat Fee Arrangements
Depending upon the complexity of your work and the resources needed, we can work out a flexible payment arrangement. It may include one or more of the flat fee options we’ve described. Our goal will be to arrive at a fee structure that delivers value to you and covers the specific needs of your case.

“My goal is to do more than represent my clients… it is to empower them. I used to say that the law is my passion, but my true passion is the connection I have with my clients. That’s what drives and motivates me. At the end of the day, it’s about working alongside people I enjoy and going home each day knowing that I delivered what I promised… The best outcome possible.”
